Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0511479A1] In this process, the ignition step in the non-inertised and pressurised gasification reactor takes place by means of an ignition burner to which a defined quantity of oxidising agent, sufficient for the ignition step proceeding without damaging the gasification reactor by explosions, is fed from a container upstream of the ignition burner. The ignition step is here monitored by a flame failure device and, after successful performance thereof, the feed of further oxidising agent for normal operation of the gasification reactor is cleared.
