In a blockable lifting device for the infinitely variable adjustment of a chair seat, a guiding tube (1) is provided, on whose end plate (5) a piston rod (10) of a longitudinally adjustable gas spring (8) is fixed. The guiding tube (1) is provided with an additional tube (20) which can be extended telescopically and is guided in a guiding bush (22) which is fixed in the guiding tube (1). The housing (9) of the gas spring (8) is also guided in a guiding bush (27) which is fixed in the additional tube (20). Provided between the guiding tube (1) and the additional tube (22) is a mechanical spring (26) which forces the additional tube (20) out of the guiding tube (1). <IMAGE>

Bei einer blockierbaren Hubvorrichtung zum stufenlosen Verstellen von Stuhlsitzen ist ein Führungsrohr (1) vorgesehen, an dessen Bodenplatte (5) eine Kolbenstange (10) einer längenverstellbaren Gasfeder (8) festgelegt wird. Das Führungsrohr (1) ist mit einem teleskopartig ausfahrbaren zusätzlichen Rohr (20) versehen, das in einer Führungsbuchse (22) geführt ist, die im Führungsrohr (1) festgelegt ist. Das Gehäuse (9) der Gasfeder (8) ist wiederum in einer Führungsbuchse (27) geführt, die im zusätzlichen Rohr (20) festgelegt ist. Zwischen dem Führungsrohr (1) und dem zusätzlichen Rohr (22) ist eine mechanische Feder (26) vorgesehen, die das zusätzliche Rohr (20) aus dem Führungsrohr (1) hinaus beaufschlagt. <IMAGE>
