[origin: EP0511528A1] A device for unloading a sheet printing machine is arranged downstream of a sheet feeder which can be continuously supplied with printed sheets (6) by means of a transport chain (5) provided with gripper carriage (4). A transport and storage device using a fan-shaped pocket construction (12) for receiving and further processing printed sheets (6), which pocket construction has sections which can be pulled or pushed apart, is provided for unloading. The sections can be removed from a storage unit when they are in pushed- together and empty mode, and when they are in pushed-together and loaded mode they can be transferred to a storage unit. <IMAGE>
