[origin: US5209677A] The invention provides an electrical connector element (10) of the type comprising an insulating block (12) which receives electrical contact elements (14) which extend through the insulating block and a metal shielding cover which at least partially surrounds the insulating block in the front region of the latter, which region is provided in order to be joined with the corresponding part of a complementary connector element, characterized in that it comprises a cap (36) in insulating material which is attached to the front part (18) of the said shielding cover.

L'invention propose un élément de connecteur électrique (10) du type comportant un bloc isolant (12) qui reçoit des éléments de contact électrique (14) qui s'étendent à travers le bloc isolant et une enveloppe métallique de blindage qui entoure au moins partiellement le bloc isolant dans la zone avant de ce dernier qui est prévue pour être raccordée avec la partie correspondante d'un élément de connecteur complémentaire, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une coiffe (36) en matériau isolant qui est rapportée sur la partie avant (18) de l'enveloppe de blindage.
