In a screening belt press, in particular a twin screening belt press, for thickening suspensions of material, in particular for dehydrating fibrous materials, having a roller train consisting of a plurality of pairs of rollers (4 to 7) having roller nips of progressively decreasing size and subsequent pairs of prepressing rollers (8, 9, 10) and at least one endless screen (1, 2) running around rollers of the pairs of rollers and prepressing rollers, at least the upper prepressing roller (10o) of at least the last pair of prepressing rollers (10) at the outlet end of the press has at least one surface layer of needle-punched felt. A sleeve for prepressing rollers of a screen belt press is formed as a needle-punched felt tube (16) which consists of at least one ply of a synthetic base fabric and fibres needle-punched thereon, which have a minimum content of synthetic fibres, preferably polyamide fibres, of 50% and the threads of the base fabric running in the peripheral direction of the tube (16) have a triggerable shrinkage of at least 20%. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Siebbandpresse, insbesondere Doppelsiebbandpresse, zum Eindicken von Stoffsuspensionen, insbesondere zum Entwässern von Faserstoffen, mit einem aus einer Mehrzahl von Walzenpaaren (4 bis 7) mit fortschreitend kleiner werdendem Walzspalt bestehenden Walzenstraße und darauf folgenden Vorpreßwalzenpaaren (8, 9, 10) sowie mit zumindest einem um Walzen der Walzen- und Vorpreßwalzenpaare umlaufenden endlosen Sieb (1, 2) besitzt am auslaufseitigen Ende der Presse zumindest die obere Vorpreßwalze (10o) wenigstens des letzten Vorpreßwalzenpaares (10) zumindest eine Oberflächenschicht aus Nadelfilz. Ein Manchon für Vorpreßwalzen einer Siebbandpresse ist als Nadelfilzrohr (16) ausgebildet, das aus zumindest einer Lage eines synthetischen Grundgewebes und darauf genadelten Fasern besteht, die einen Mindestanteil an synthetischen Fasern, vorzugsweise Polyamidfasern von 50 % besitzen, wobei die in Umfangsrichtung des Rohres (16) verlaufenden Fäden des Grundgewebes eine auslösbare Schrumpfung von zumindest 20 % aufweisen. <IMAGE>
