Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0512258A1] In a lift-off motor-vehicle door hinge, of which the hinge pin (3) forming the hinge axis is mounted in the hinge eye (6) of one hinge wing (1) freely rotatably, but immovably in the axial direction, and engages, via a radially projecting collar (28), between the mutually confronting joining faces (9, 11) of the hinge eyes (6, 12) of the two hinge wings, and in which the hinge eye (12) of the other hinge wing (2) is centred relative to the hinge pin (3) by a cone (10), engaging into a conical widening (13) of the hinge-eye bore (14), of the hinge pin (3), and the lift-off hinge wing (2) is prevented from lifting out on its own by means of a screw connection (17, 20) supported against the free joining face (21) of its hinge eye (12), it is proposed, to prevent settling where heavy doors are concerned, that the screw connection consist of an axial hinge-pin extension (17) equipped with a circumferential thread and of a threaded nut (20) assigned thereto, and that the threaded nut itself be in engagement, via an especially conical shoulder (22), with a conical widening (23) of the hinge-eye bore (14), said conical widening (23) adjoining the outer joining face (21) of the hinge eye of the lift-off hinge wing. <IMAGE>
