Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0512279A1] A turning and sorting apparatus for trays (13) loaded with crockery (14) is described. This apparatus is provided with a loading conveyor (I, 3), which feeds the trays (13) to the lower end (Y) of a semicircular turning path (2), and with outgoing conveying apparatuses (11, 12) at the upper end of the conveying path (2) which is bounded laterally by stationary, curved rails and on the inside towards the centre point (5) of curvature by a continuous inner belt (7) and which is open towards the outside. The inner belt (7) is fitted evenly with outwardly projecting bars (8). For more reliable guiding of trays with the crockery and a more sturdy design of the drive of the overall apparatus, provision is made for the loading conveyor (I, 3) to be constructed as a chain conveyor belt (3) which is driven in continuous circulation and is made integrally up to the upper end (X) of the turning path (2). In the region (from Y to X) of the turning path (2), said chain conveyor belt is guided by chain rails mounted on each side of said turning path. <IMAGE>
