The invention relates to a method of controlling and regulating the production process in the honing of cylinders, the cylinders first being rough-honed to a coarse roughness profile and then being finish-honed to a fine roughness profile. According to the invention, after rough-honing, a roughness parameter of the rough-honed cylinder surface is measured, this measured quantity being included in the control and regulation of the honing operation. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Steuerung und Regelung des Fertigungsprozesses beim Honen von Zylindern, wobei erst auf ein grobes Rauheitsprofil vorgehont und danach auf ein feines Rauheitsprofil fertiggehont wird. Erfindungsgemäß wird nach dem Vorhonen ein Rauheitsparameter der vorgehonten Zylinderfläche gemessen, wobei dieser Meßwert in die Steuerung und Regelung des Honvorganges einfließt. <IMAGE>
