[origin: EP0512311A2] A processing method for photographic silver halide materials, in which at least 95 mol % of the silver halides consist of silver chloride, with the process steps of (a) developing, (b) bleaching, (c) fixing, (d) stabilising or washing and (e) drying, wherein the steps (b) and (c) can be combined into one step, washing steps can be provided between the individual steps and in which the developer solution contains a colour developer from the p-phenylenediamine series and additionally 10 to 150 g of KCl/l, gives satisfactory sensitometric results, even though only a small quantity of overflow of high chloride content requires disposal.
