[origin: EP0512503A2] All finger jointing presses and finger jointing milling, gluing and pressing installations on the market are limited in their output because the pieces of timber pushed in one after the other have to cover lengthwise too long a transporting path until the individual positions, readying for longitudinal transport, for threading in and for pressing or for working, are reached. The subsequent setting time of the glue is too great, since there must be intermediate stops prior to selling or working, corresponding to at least one day's production. An increase in output and reduced setting time is required. This is remedied by an invention where the boards or pieces of timber are widthwise laterally ahead of the pressing or processing position and the glue and hardener is specified in the heated state. The installations may advantageously also be heatable. <IMAGE>
