[origin: WO9110878A1] Distance indicator for motor vehicles. The indicator device comprises a housing (2) or other body which carries a disc (20) arranged to project a pair of lines (24, 25) onto the windscreen of a vehicle at vertically spaced positions to indicate the minimum stopping distances for certain speeds. The lines can be adjusted to horizontal by rotation of the disc (20) about an upright axis, and the vertical positions of the lines are pre-adjustable by sliding the housing (2) back and forth on a fixed base (1). A movable cover (28) is provided to shut off one or other, or both, of the projected lines.

L'indicateur comprend un boîtier (2) ou autre élément supportant un disque (20) conçu pour projeter un couple de lignes (24, 25) sur le pare-brise d'un véhicule à des positions à espacement vertical pour indiquer les distances d'arrêt minimum pour certaines vitesses. Les lignes peuvent être réglées à l'horizontale par rotation du disque (20) autour d'un axe droit et les positions verticales des lignes sont pré-réglables par coulissement du boîtier (2) en avant et en arrière sur une base fixe (1). Un couvercle mobile (28) est prévu pour occulter l'une ou l'autre des lignes projetées ou les deux.
