[origin: EP0513460A1] The transport device according to the invention makes use of self-propelled trucks (11) movable on rails and comprising assembly means, on which removable containers can be engaged and fastened temporarily, these assembly means comprising an assembly profile (12) oriented parallel to the axis of movement of the truck (11) and capable of cooperating with a container, in such a way that the containers can be assembled or dismantled at the end of a relative translational movement of truck and container executed parallel to said axis of displacement. The invention makes it possible to use relatively simple and inexpensive loading/unloading stations. <IMAGE>
