Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a device for joining metal sheets together, comprising a punch (10) and a die (11) with elastically deflectable cutting-edge parts (24). The dimensions of the punch, on the one hand, and of a closed contour of the die (11), on the other hand, define a joining region, such that none of the sheets is cut through and the joint has essentially isotropic tensile strength in all directions parallel to the sheets. The joint is also aesthetically pleasing on both sides. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Durchsetzfügen von Blechen, umfassend einen Stempel (10) und eine Matrize (11) mit elastisch auslenkbaren Schneidenteilen (24). Die Abmessungen des Stempels einerseits, einer geschlossenen Kontur der Matrize (11) andererseits definieren einen Durchsetzbereich derart, daß keines der Bleche durchschnitten wird und die Dügeverbindung im wesentliche isotrope Zugfestigkeit in allen Richtungen parallel zu den Blechen aufweist. Der Fügepunkt ist beidseits auch ästhetisch befriedigend. <IMAGE>
