Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0513517A1] For the container transport of bitumen or other substances which require heating (or cooling) as long as they are in the container, a freight container is used which is made up of a substantially cuboid frame consisting of individual angled rails 10...14 with outwardly pointing limbs and shell elements 16...20 inserted between said rails. In their edge regions, the shell elements 16, 17 surround the angled rails 10, 11 and are welded to the free edges of both limbs of these rails. As a result, closed channels 21 of approximately triangular cross-section are produced which lie inside the tank and are connected to one another via pipes 22...24 which pass through the inside of the tank. In this manner, using light profiled elements, a tank is formed which is nevertheless rigid and has an internal linked piping system for conducting a temperature-conditioning medium. <IMAGE>
