In a device for limiting the length of rows of supermarket trolleys in the form of equipment with control and blocking apparatuses (30, 40, 50) which is additional to the known coin-deposit systems (20), on the one hand an external permanent magnet is arranged as control element (30) at the end of a row of supermarket trolleys, which magnet interacts with the blocking elements (40, 50) on the coin-deposit system (20) when passing the magnetic field (M) in such a way that only the operating states "free" (ready for use) or "block" (not ready for use) can be produced. With appropriate positioning and dimensioning of these components, readiness for use thus exists solely in the region of the rows of supermarket trolleys. This contactless interaction is easy to implement in terms of construction and can be protected reliably against intervention by third parties. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Vorrichtung zur Begrenzung von Einkaufswagenreihen in der Form einer Zusatzausrüstung mit Steuer- und Sperreinrichtungen (30,40,50) zu den bekannten Münzpfandsystemen (20) einerseits ist als Steuerelement (30) ein externer Permanentmagnet am Ende einer Einkaufswagenreihe angeordnet, der mit den Sperrelementen (40,50) am Münzpfandsystem (20) beim Passieren des Magnetfeldes (M) derart in Wechselwirkung tritt, daß ausschließlich die Betriebszustände "Frei" (funktionsbereit) oder "Sperre" (nicht funktionsbereit) hergestellt werden können. Bei entsprechender Positionierung und Dimensionierung dieser Bauteile besteht somit ausschließlich im Bereich der Einkaufswagenreihe Funktionsbereitschaft. Diese kontaktfreie Wechselwirkung ist baulich einfach zu realisieren und gegen Eingriffe Dritter sicher zu schützen <IMAGE>
