The invention relates to a device for adjusting the upper edge of the lower working roll of roll stands, in particular four-high stands, to the rolling line by means of a pair of wedges underneath each lower roll chock, comprising a lower wedge element displaceable horizontally in the axial direction of the roll and an upper wedge element displaceable only in the vertical direction, these wedges resting on one another by their wedge faces during the rolling operation. In order to simplify a conventional device to allow sufficiently accurate adjustment of the upper edge of the lower working roll to the rolling line to be carried out by simple and, in particular, space-saving means, it is proposed that each upper wedge element (6) should be raisable and lowerable together with the respective roll chock (2, 3) by means of a lifting device (10) and that the wedge faces of both wedges (5, 6) should be stepped, the steps interengaging and thereby supporting the wedge elements (5, 6) vertically. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Angleichen der Oberkante der unteren Arbeitswalze von Walzgerüsten, insbesondere Quarto-Gerüsten an die Walzlinie mittels eines Keilpaares unterhalb jedes unteren Walzeneinbaustückes, bestehend aus einem unteren horizontal in Walzenachsrichtung verschiebbarem Keilelement und einem oberen, ausschließlich in vertikaler Richtung verschiebbarem Keilelement, die während des Walzvorganges mit ihren Keilflächen aufeinanderliegen. Um eine herkömmliche Vorrichtung zu vereinfachen, so daß mit einfachen und vor allem platzsparenden Einrichtungen ein hinreichend genaues Angleichen der Oberkante der unteren Arbeitswalze an die Walzlinie vorgenommen werden kann, wird vorgeschlagen, daß jedes obere Keilelement (6) mittels einer Hubvorrichtung (10) zusammen mit dem jeweiligen Walzeneinbaustück (2,3) anheb- und absenkbar ist und daß die Keilflächen beider Keile (5,6) treppenartig gestuft sind, wobei die Stufen ineinandergreifend die Keilelemente (5,6) vertikal abstützen. <IMAGE>
