Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a current switching apparatus comprising, in a casing (1), at least one polar current path established between two connection terminals (48, 58), with, in series, a breaker pole formed by at least one fixed contact (41, 51) and by at least one moving contact (61, 62), a thermal protection trip (7) consisting of a bimetallic strip (71) surrounded by a heater (73) and a magnetic protection trip (8) consisting of a winding (82) coiled around a coil former (81) within which there slides a movable core (83), the wire of the winding being connected by an intermediate conductor (56) to the end of the heater (73), characterised in that the wire of the heater (73) has a substantially upright and curvature-free lower end (74) welded to the intermediate conductor which is welded to a substantially upright, curvature-free end (85) of the winding wire whose other substantially upright and curvature-free end (84) is welded to a lug (571) which extends parallel to the axis of the winding and is prolonged by a tag (572) carrying the connection terminal (58), the two trips (7, 8) being mounted on two conductive tags (54, 572), the one connected to the fixed contact and the other to a terminal, and which are carried by a removable support (3) of the casing. <IMAGE>
