The invention relates to a heat exchanger comprising a bundle formed by a multiplicity of parallel tubes (10), arranged in at least one row and in which each tube (10) has a body (12) ending with an extremity (16) received in a hole (18) of a collector plate (20). <??>The cross-section (S2) of the extremity (16) of the tube has a perimeter which is smaller than the perimeter of the cross-section (S1) of the body (12) of the tube. <??>The invention thus makes it possible to optimise the value of the distance (ER) between the tube axes and to reduce the overall size of the heat exchanger. <IMAGE>
