Zwischen einem Härteofen (9) und einem Abschreckbad (11d) ist eine Abkühlvorrichtung (1) in Form einer Hohlkammer angeordnet, die den Abkühlvorgang der durchfallenden Kleinteile steuert. Die in der Hohlkammer angeordneten, in ihrer Neigung einstellbaren Platten (3) stehen mit einer Einrichtung (4) zur Temperaturregulierung in Verbindung, so dass mit den Platten (3) die Wärme der Kleinteile abgeführt bzw. stabilisiert werden kann. <IMAGE>
