[origin: FR2661431A1] Bleaching of high-yield pulps in which the said pulp is subjected to a pretreatment with the aid of an agent complexing metal ions followed by a washing, and then to a treatment with the aid of hydrogen peroxide in alkaline medium, characterised in that between the beginning and the end of the said treatment a supplementary addition of hydrogen peroxide and of alkaline agent is carried out, without interruption of the treatment, at a time when 60 % to 85 % of the initial quantity of hydrogen peroxide has been consumed, the additional quantity of hydrogen peroxide being equal to or smaller than the said initial quantity.
