[origin: WO9112081A1] An elastic line part (6) in the outlet line of the centrifuge (1) is surrounded by an air-tight housing (7). The housing (7) is connected to a pressure source (10) by a line (8) in which a valve (9) is incorporated. Before partial emptying of the centrifuge is initiated, the valve (9) is first opened and pressure is applied to the elastic line part (6) from outside. The pressure drop in the outlet line (3) due to the partial emptying which follows is compensated by the compression of the elastic line part (6).
