[origin: WO9112156A1] A device for elastically connecting a bumper support to a longitudinal member of a vehicle consists essentially of a spring body supported between the longitudinal member of the vehicle and the bumper support. The spring body is formed from two or three fibre-reinforced plastic leaf springs (1, 2, 3). Two leaf springs are joined at the end regions by a fibre winding (4 and 5) made of fibres embedded in a polymer matrix. An intermediate structural element (7) is fastened to the longitudinal member of the vehicle between the leaf springs (1 and 2). The free end (8) of the intermediate structural element (7) is shaped like an expanded wedge and extends into the path of the third leaf spring (3).

Le dispositif de jonction élastique d'un support de pare-choc et d'un longeron de véhicule consiste essentiellement en un élément élastique placé en appui entre le longeron du véhicule et le support de pare-choc. Cet élément est formé par deux ou trois ressorts à lames (1, 2, 3) en matière plastique renforcée par fibres, et deux ressorts à lames sont reliés à leurs extrémités par un enroulement de fibres (4 et 5) enrobées dans une matrice polymère. Entre les ressorts à lames (1 et 2) fixés au longeron du véhicule, se trouve un élément intermédiaire (7) dont l'extrémité libre (8) s'agrandit pour former un coin et pénètre dans la course élastique du troisième ressort (3).
