Procédé de préparation d'un éther de glycol qui consiste à faire réagir un oxyde d'oléfine avec un alcool en présence d'un catalyseur. Le procédé se caractérise par le fait que le catalyseur est une argile d'hydroxyde double anionique ayant une structure à couches pratiquement intacte, les anions inter-lamellaires étant essentiellement des anions de l'alcool participant à la réaction.
