Abstract (en)
The switch consists of a profiled cradle forming the housing for a moveable deviation switch rail (18) and of a shaped body (20) made by machining by cutting. In order to reduce the machining waste and improve the reliability of the switch rail operation, the body (20) is bolted between a stock-rail (22) and an opposite rail (24), both being without their adjacent foot over the whole length of the body (20), and the upper surface of the body (20) supporting the moveable part of the switch rail (18) is profiled in such a way as to present flat bearings (28) for supporting the switch rail (18) alternating with notches (30) machined in the body (20). <IMAGE>
