A folding device cooperates with ... in a printing unit, the form cylinder of which can, among other things, also be covered with six copies around its circumference. The folding device has a collecting and folding-blade cylinder, the circumference of which has an odd number of, but more than three, zones. The collecting and folding-blade cylinder is followed, as seen in the paper run direction, by a transfer and folding-flap cylinder having a following split delivery. The collecting and folding-blade cylinder is assigned two separate stapling devices (stapling cylinders (73; 74)). One stapling cylinder (73) has at least three stapling devices (76, 77, 78) arranged at an equal circumferential angle from one another, and the other stapling cylinder (74) has at least one stapling device (79). The two stapling cylinders (73; 74) are arranged in front of the folding-flap cylinder (67), as seen in the paper run direction.

Ein Falzapparat wirkt mit im einem Druckwerk zusammen, dessen Formzylinder u. a. auch mit sechs Nutzen um seinen Umfang belegbar ist. Der Falzapparat hat einen Sammel- und Falzmesserzylinder, dessen Umfang eine ungeradzahlige Anzahl, jedoch mehr als drei Felder aufweist. Dem Sammel- und Falzmesserzylinder - in Papierlaufrichtung gesehen - ist ein Transfer- und Falzklappenzylinder mit nachfolgender gesplitterter Auslage nachgeordnet. Dem Sammel- und Falzmesserzylinder sind zwei getrennte Heftvorrichtungen (Heftzylinder (73; 74) ) zugeordnet. Ein Heftzylinder (73) hat mindestens drei, im gleichen Umfangswinkel voneinander angeordnete Heftvorrichtungen (76, 77, 78), der andere Heftzylinder (74) mindestens eine Heftvorrichtung (79). Beide Heftzylinder (73; 74) sind - in Papierlaufrichtung gesehen - vor dem Falzklappenzylinder (67) angeordnet.
