Abstract (en)
A head gasket for an automobile engine comprises a metal plate (1) and discrete-cellular rubber layers (2) provided on opposite surfaces of the metal plate to ensure excellent seal even in a contact portion with a low surface pressure distant from clamping bolts, and also preventing leakage through the material even in a portion with a low surface pressure, and reducing the manufacturing cost. <IMAGE>
