A locking cylinder (1) can be blocked by a key (15) having a mechanical code track with a height profiling at a plurality of height levels (27, 28, 29) identifiable on the lock side by a reading device which comprises an analog transmitter, for example a pressure-variable resistor, especially rubber resistor (19), in a measuring circuit (20). When the key (15) is inserted into a key channel (14), the code track is sensed by a tracer pin (13) and the code-dependent measurement quantity, for example the resistance values variable as a function of pressure, are detected in succession. They result in a code which is compared with the code of a code memory (22). If the codes agree, a release signal for an electromechanical locking device (26) is generated. Furthermore, the locking cylinder (1) can additionally have the conventional pin tumblers (4, 5, 6, 7, 8). <IMAGE>

Ein Schließzylinder (1) ist durch einen Schlüssel (15) sperrbar, der eine mechanische Codespur mit einer Höhenprofilierung in mehreren Höhenniveaus (27, 28, 29) aufweist, die schloßseitig durch eine Leseeinrichting identifizierbar ist, welche einen analogen Geber, beispielsweise einen durch Druck veränderbaren Widerstand, insbesondere Gummiwiderstand (19), in einem Meßkreis (20) umfaßt. Beim Einschieben des Schlüssels (15) in einen Schlüsselkanal (14) wird die Codespur durch einen Taststift (13) abgetastet und die codeabhängige Meßgröße, z. B. die druckabhängig variablen Widerstandswerte werden nacheinander erfaßt. Sie ergeben einen Code, der mit dem Code eines Code-speichers (22) verglichen wird. Bei Codeübereinstimmung liegt ein Entriegelungssignal für eine elektromechanische Verriegelung (26) an. Der Schließzylinder (1) kann ferner die üblichen Stiftzuhaltungen (4, 5, 6, 7, 8) zusätzlich aufweisen. <IMAGE>
