[origin: EP0516937A2] In a plug connector having a contact support (21) consisting of insulating material and having at least one plug contact (23) which is arranged in a contact chamber (22) in the contact support (21), it is provided that, in the operating state, the plug contact (23) is supported by means of an externally domed annular bead (31) in an annular groove (26), which is matched to the contour of said annular bead (31), in the end region, on the connection side, of the contact chamber (22). This results in a plug connector which is extremely cost-effective in production and construction and nevertheless has the advantages of a floating contact-element arrangement, with respect to the production tolerances of the plugged-together contact elements and their orientation tolerances. Furthermore, the solution according to the invention is also suitable for the production of waterproof plug connectors, without any additional measures. <IMAGE>
