The invention relates to a reflector lamp having a reflector which partially surrounds a light source, is surrounded by an upper, opaque, hood-shaped housing part, and opens in the direction of a lower housing part which forms a transparent cover detachably joined to the upper housing part, the upper housing part having at least one vertical step arranged symmetrically relative to the vertical longitudinal axis, and the lower housing part being constructed in the form of a bell-like cone which is symmetrical relative to the longitudinal axis and opens towards the upper housing part, and whose lower end has a shell-shaped attachment by means of which the lamp can be fastened to a pole. 2.1. It is the object of the invention to provide a reflector lamp of the type mentioned above whose light emission is improved both downwards and to the side. 2.2. This is achieved when the cone is subdivided into an upper and a lower part, of which parts the first has a larger angle of inclination to the longitudinal axis than the latter. <IMAGE>
