Abstract (en)
A process for water softening and a household appliance or its water softening device suitable for carrying out this process are described. In order to save both water and salt, the capacity of the water softener is designed for several program sequences in the case of low hardness of the untreated water. The number of program sequences up to carrying out the next regeneration is determined as a function of the product of the quantity of water used and the water hardness to be reduced. The quantity of water is recorded by means of an impeller water meter (5) and the water hardness is recorded on an adjusting member (15). The regeneration signal (17) calculated initiates the operation. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Es wird ein Verfahren zur Wasserenthärtung und eine zu dessen Durchführung geeignete Haushaltsmaschine bzw. deren Wasserenthärtungseinrichtung beschrieben. Um sowohl Wasser als auch Salz einzusparen, ist die Kapazität des Wasserenthärters bei geringer Rohwasserhärte für mehrere Programmfolgen ausgelegt. Die Anzahl der Programmfolgen bis zur Durchführung der nächsten Regenerierung wird in Abhängigkeit vom Produkt aus der verbrauchten Wassermenge und der abzubauenden Wasserhärte bestimmt. Die Wassermenge wird mittels eines Flügelradzählers (5) und die Wasserhärte an einem Einstellorgan (15) erfaßt. Das errechnete Regeneriersignal (17) löst den Vorgang aus. <IMAGE>
