[origin: EP0517667A1] A support element (8.1) for the mutual fixing of bearing elements (2, 7) arranged on both sides of a non-bearing insulating layer (4) is distinguished by a hollow space (11) which is completely open on one side in the direction of penetration (20) and, transversely to the direction of penetration (20), is bounded by a thin-walled casing (9). When the support element is driven through the insulating layer (4), the hollow space (11) accommodates in it the insulating material lying within the casing (9).
