Abstract (en)
The invention describes a dentist's chair with an adjustable headrest (3) in which the headrest (3) is hinged so as to be pivotable about a transverse axis (18) on a strut (17) which is adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the backrest (2). For this purpose the transverse axis (18) forms a lever arm with the articulated axle (19) of a rod (20) which is articulated on the headrest (3) and effects tensile or compressive support by means of an adjustment means (22). In order to obtain as flat a headrest as possible the rod (20) and the adjustment means (22) are allocated to a headrest support (7) including the strut (17) and adjustable relative to the backrest (2). <IMAGE>

Es wird ein zahnärztlicher Patientenstuhl mit einer verstellbaren Kopfstütze (3) vorgeschlagen, bei dem die Kopfstütze (3) an einem in Längsrichtung der Rückenlehne (2) verstellbaren Schwert (17) um eine Querachse (18) schwenkbar angelenkt ist. Die Querachse (18) bildet zu diesem Zweck mit der Gelenkachse (19) einer an der Kopfstütze (3) angelenkten und mittels Stellmittel (22) mit einer Zug- bzw. Druckstütze bewirkenden Stange (20) einen Hebelarm. Um eine möglichst flache Kopfstütze zu bekommen, sind Stange (20) und Stellmittel (22) einem das Schwert (17) beinhaltenden, gegenüber der Rückenlehne (2) verstellbaren Kopfstützenträger (7) zugeordnet. <IMAGE>
