[origin: EP0518788A1] The generator according to the invention comprises a main enclosure (1) equipped with heating means (12) regulated by control means (13). The water level in the generator is kept at a mean level (5) by the control means (13) regulating a water-admission electrovalve (10). The mean water level (5) is measured by a pressure controller (20) which is subject to the pressure of a measuring chamber (18) which communicates with the main enclosure (1) via a lower measuring orifice (22). A compensation duct (34) connects the pressure controller (20) to the steam pressure produced in the generator. The pressure controller (20) produces measuring signals sent by conductors (17) to the control means (13) to actuate the electrovalve (10). <IMAGE>
