Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0518809A1] The fabric table (11) of the device (1) is brought by a lever system from the basic position (V) into the part stop position (T) and back again into the basic position (V). The lever system has a lever (18) and a drive (17, 171) acting at least approximately at right angles on this lever (18). The variation in the distance (X) between the basic or full stop position (V) and the part stop position (T) of the fabric table (11) takes place by a displacement of the driving point (P) of the drive (17, 171) on the lever (18) and consequently of the length of the effective lever arm of the lever (18). The separation thus achieved between the function of varying the position of the fabric table (11) between the full stop position (V) and the part stop position (T) and the function of the actual to-and-fro movement of the fabric table (11) makes it possible, in the fabric-controlled weaving of terry fabrics, to obtain an improved and simplified variation and adaptation of the fabric-table stroke (distance S) and therefore of the loop length. <IMAGE>
