Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH05213432A] PURPOSE: To provide a feed device having a high speed and a space conservation to a sorting machine for a flat object having at least one inlet supply passage for the object and a pocket supplied in a vertical direction to transport the object. CONSTITUTION: A conveyor module 100 includes at least two stop gates BA1, BA2, BA3 spaced by a distance greater than the maximum length of the objects 1. An accelerator module 200 is located between the conveyor module 100 and a vertical transfer device and includes a downstream stop gate BA4. A vertical ejection device is formed by an injection module 300. These modules are provided with continuously operating positive entrainment devices and the stop gates control the movements of the objects in response to detectors located in the path of the objects.
