The invention relates to a furnace with a sliding grate made of grate bars which rest loosely alternately on movable and fixed grate bar supports (7) and can thus tip in the vertical direction. In the horizontal direction, a grate bar (11, 12) is fixed on each grate bar support (7), adjacent grate bars (11, 12) are interconnected and the outer grate bar (12) on the fixed grate bar support (7) is coupled to a driver (8) which displaces a side plate (16) in relation to the furnace wall (2) during heat expansion. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Ofen mit einem Schubrost aus Roststäben, die abwechselnd auf beweglichen und feststehenden Roststabträgern (7) lose aufliegen und daher in vertikaler Richtung kippen können. In horizontaler Richtung ist ein Roststab (11, 12) auf jedem Roststabträger (7) fixert, benachbarte Roststäbe(11, 12) sind miteinander verbunden und der äußere Roststab (12) am feststehenden Roststabträger (7) ist mit einem Mitnehmer (8) gekoppelt, der ein Seitenschild (16) bei Wärmedehnung gegenüber der Ofenwand 2) verschiebt. <IMAGE>
