[origin: EP0519785A1] Percussion device for a firearm of small or medium calibre, comprising a striking pin (14) guided through a breech (10) in a part (28) movable between a position retracted into the breech when the striking pin is in the arming position and a firing position, in which its front end projects relative to the firing head of the breech and bears on the base (34) of the ammunition, for taking up the play between the firing head and the ammunition, and the stops (46, 48, 52) provided on the striking pin and the movable part in order to displace the latter into the position retracted into the breech when the striking pin is returned to the arming position. <IMAGE>
