Abstract (en)
Associated with the main cylinder (5) of the first card (C1) is a first stripper or doffer cylinder (9), and associated with the second main cylinder (11) of the second card (C2) is a second stripper or doffer cylinder (17) in turn associated with a web removing assembly (19); the first stripper or doffer cylinder (9) of the first card works with the second main cylinder (11) also, rotating more slowly than but in the same direction as the two main cylinders (5, 11), and a stripper/feed cylinder (15) is provided to interact simultaneously with said doffer (9) and with the second main cylinder (11), rotating in the opposite direction to these, as a result of which the material originating from the first main cylinder (5) is yielded by the first doffer (9) in part directly with carding action to the second main cylinder (11) and in part to said stripper/feed cylinder (15) and by the latter to said second main cylinder (11). <IMAGE>
