Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2662194A1] Flushing mechanism which can be interrupted, with a guaranteed minimum discharge, of the type comprising: a flap valve (3) which is movable in axial translation and is intended to bear on the edge (8) of the outflow orifice (C) formed in the base (7) of the flushing cistern; a float (2) integral in axial translation with the said valve (3) and intended to hold the latter at a distance from its seat (8), during the water discharge or flushing procedure; a push-button control device (17); and a system (22-23) for transmission and for lifting the flap valve, which system is activated by the said push-button (17), characterised in that it comprises a buoyancy chamber (12) which is formed in the upper part of the mechanism and in which the said float (2) is housed, this buoyancy chamber (12) being completed by rapid discharge means comprising at least one member (26) subject to the push-button, and at least one orifice (14) arranged in the base or in proximity to the base of the said chamber, these means being located in the operative position when the push-button (17) is pressed, and in the inoperative position when the pressing on the push-button ceases. <IMAGE>
