Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0520176A2] The present invention relates to a release device for pyrotechnic, mechanical or electrical signals which are released by means of trip wires or the like, and are possibly equipped with detonating caps, consisting of a sleeve having a release plate which is supported spherically on the head of the sleeve, and of a retaining device for the trip wire, as well as of an impact mechanism, which can be operated by means of balls and a release cam and has a spring-loaded impact bolt with a safety pin, is characterised according to the invention in that the release cam is arranged on a cam holder against which there rests coaxially a conical pin having a cylinder which is adjacent to the cone and is not connected to the cam holder, and the cam holder and conical pin being located in a hole on the head side of the impact bolt, and openings which pass through the wall of the hole being located in the region of the hole in the impact bolt, in which openings two or more balls are arranged which, in the stressed state of the spring, rest against the cylindrical surface of the conical pin, and the impact bolt in this case being surrounded on the head side by a funnel-shaped collar having a cone which tapers in the release direction and on whose internal wall the balls likewise rest in the stressed state of the device, in this case, the conical pin being supported on the safety pin in the safe state of the device. <IMAGE>
