Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a valve tappet (cam follower) (1) of the type comprising a plate (2) mounted on a body (3). The body is based on a plastic material chosen, for example, from the group comprising polyacetals, polyformaldehydes, polysulphones, polyetheretherketones, liquid crystal polymers, polyamides, polyimides, polyesters and epoxy resins. The plate is made of a ceramic material, preferably of silicon nitride.
