Abstract (en)
[origin: JPH05179539A] PURPOSE: To enhance the accuracy of a sley drive and to improve the productivity of a loom by disposing a program-controlled servo motor at sley drive assemblies and interposing a self-locking transmission between the servo motor and a sley. CONSTITUTION: The servo motor 22, such as the program-controlled electric servo motor or a hydraulically driven servo motor having an axial piston pump, is disposed at the sley device disposed with the drive assemblies at both ends of the sley 5 of the loom for wire cloth. The self-locking transmission composed of can mechanisms or worm gear machines 18 and 20 is interposed between the servo motor 22 and the sley 5 to transmit the drive torque of the servo motor 22 via a clutch 21 to a crank shaft 2. The motion of the sley 5 is monitored by a sensor 26 constituted as an absolute value converter and a controller synchronizes both drive assemblies of the sley in accordance with the signal thereof, thereby overcoming the mechanical threshold of the conventional speed control and making the speed higher.
