Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0521460A1] The invention relates to an apparatus, especially for medical purposes, comprising a support plate and piercing mandrils connected to the latter and arranged diametrically relative to one another, through which mandrils two flow channels are passed. The invention proposes that the apparatus have a shut-off element (5) interacting with one of the flow channels (21), which element releases flow through the flow channel (21) in an open position (Figure 2a) and blocks flow through the flow channel (21) in a locked position (Figure 2b), a liquid removal channel (12) of the apparatus (3) coming into flow connection with a section of the flow channel (21) which is open toward one piercing tip (19) in the locked position, and the liquid removal channel (12) opening into a connecting nozzle (25, 26). In the open position of the shut-off element the apparatus according to the invention permits transfer of liquid from a first container to a second container in which the piercing mandrils (19, 20) are inserted, whereas in the locked position of the shut-off element, with the piercing mandrils inserted, removal of liquid is possible through the connecting nozzle. <IMAGE>
