[origin: EP0521828A1] A threading element (1), provided with a drive, of endless length for threading a web of material into a rotary press is composed of a plurality of groups (48) consisting of individual components (2, 3) and one component (4). The one component (2) is equipped with electric drive motors (24, 25) which are arranged on each side of the guide rail (8). The component (3) is equipped with a centrally arranged, spring-supported current collector (37) which is in contact alternately with sliding parts (39) which are arranged one behind the other, are mounted on the guide rail (8), have a limited longitudinal extent and are alternately connected to a positive current conductor (50) or to a negative current conductor (51). All the drive motors (24, 25) of the components (2) and all the current collectors (37) of the components (3) of the threading component (1) are electrically connected to one another in parallel. In each case one diode (40) and (41), respectively, is connected between the connecting line (60) and current collector (37) and current collector (37) and connecting line (61). <IMAGE>
