Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0522451A1] The invention relates to a pipe union (26) for the supply and exhaust of dry air or similar supply or exhaust medium at a bore of a bitumen layer (25) or similar outer or upper layer of a wall, of a ceiling or such-like part of a building, in particular of a flat roof, having a connecting pipe (2) which can be inserted by its one end region (3) into the bore and leads to an insulating layer (27) located underneath the outer or upper layer (25), the connecting pipe (2) having an outwardly projecting connecting part (4) for the connection of a gas tube or such-like tube line and, in the position for use, being sealed off from the outside of the bore. In order to be able to use the pipe union (26) in a wide variety of application areas, and in order to be able to insert it also into a comparatively thin-walled and/or pliable bitumen layer or the like, it is provided according to the invention that the connecting pipe (2) has on the pipe circumference of its end region (3) which can be inserted into the bore a self-cutting external thread (24) and/or a slotted disc (5) projecting in a rotationally fixed and radial manner and having a slot (6) which is open on the disc outer side (7) and runs in the form of a curve or spiral in the direction of the disc inner side (8), and that the slotted disc (5) and/or the connecting pipe (2) has in the region of the external thread (24) an outside diameter which, at least in certain regions, is greater than the clear diameter of the bore. <IMAGE>
