[origin: EP0522996A1] The powder-actuated fastening tool has an axially displaceable bolt guide (3) which is displaced in the opposite direction to the drive-in direction when the fastening tool is pressed against a component (10). In the process, the bolt guide (3) acts on a piston guide (2) which in turn tightens a firing bolt (9) via a tightening device (8). The firing bolt (9) serves to ignite propellant charges. At the side, the bolt guide (3) has a feed slot (3a) which is connected to a magazine (1a) arranged on the housing (1) of the fastening tool. Fasteners (11) which are arranged in the magazine (1a) and are connected to one another in a strap-like manner via guide bushes (12) are thereby fed to the bolt guide (3), the displacement of the bolt guide (3) resulting in only a single fastener (11) coming into the effective area of a driving piston (4) through the feed slot (3a) graduated in width. <IMAGE>
