[origin: WO9113955A1] A lubricating grease composition comprising a major proportion of a lubricating base oil, a lithium soap complex and an organic metal compound. The metal of the organic metal compound is selected from molybdenum, tungsten, vanadium, niobium and tantalum, and is preferably molybdenum. The grease can be used to lubricate mechanical parts such as antifriction bearings, and exhibits a long lifetime at high temperatures.
