Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0523317A2] A rotary piston pump (1) has single- or multiple-lobed delivery pistons (3, 4) which rotate in the pump casing (2) on two piston shafts (6, 7) arranged in parallel. A homokinetic gear system (12), which comprises two meshing gearwheels (13, 14), ensures a matched movement of said two piston shafts (6, 7) and the associated delivery pistons (3, 4). According to the invention, the homokinetic gear system (12) and the delivery chamber (5) are arranged adjacent to each other and without separation in such a way that the gearwheels (13, 14) of the homokinetic gear system (12) serve as auxiliary delivery wheels to the delivery pistons (3, 4). According to a particular further development of the invention, the rotary piston pump (1) has a split-cage drive, for example a split-cage clutch (20). Special lines (45) and ducts (36, 32) are provided, via which a shunted-off part stream is able to remove the lost heat of the split-cage drive. <IMAGE>
