[origin: EP0523342A1] The towel dryer is formed from a curved section (1) of tubes which consists of straight tubes (2; 5) and curved tube connections (3; 4), and through which a heating medium flows. The straight tubes (2; 5) are arranged within one of two groups, spaced apart horizontally, and each group is arranged in one of two parallel vertical planes. Connected to each of the tubes (2) of the one group, at its one end side (21), is a horizontally extending, curved tube connection (3) which is connected at the other side to a tube (5) of the other group arranged at the same height. Connected to the uppermost tube (23) of the one group, at its other end side (22), is an elbow (6) which runs horizontally into the plane of the other group, is bent downwards in said plane and can be connected to a connecting tube (8). Connected to each further tube (2) of the one group, at its other end side (22), is an obliquely extending tube connection (4) which is connected at the other side to the tube (5) of the other group arranged above it. <IMAGE>
