In a device for contactless application of a strip of liquid, in particular strip of glue (3), onto a running material web (1) with at least one application head (4) which is provided with at least one nozzle (6) which arranged at a distance (a) from the material web (1) and can be activated or deactivated by means of a valve (8) which can be driven as a function of the desired application pattern, a high degree of accuracy can be achieved in that the operating points of the valve (8) can be corrected with respect to the application pattern-dependent basic values by a correction value which can be determined as a function of the speed of the material web (1) and at least the spacing (a) of the web with respect to the nozzle (6). <IMAGE>

Bei einer Vorrichtung zum berührungslosen Auftragen eines Flüssigkeitsstreifens, insbesondere Leimstreifens (3), auf eine laufende Materialbahn (1) mit wenigstens einem Auftragkopf (4), der mit wenigstens einer mit Abstand (a) zur Materialbahn (1) angeordneten Düse (6) versehen ist, die mittels eines Ventils (8) aktivierbar bzw. passivierbar ist, das in Abhängigkeit vom gewünschten Auftragmuster ansteuerbar ist, läßt sich dadurch eine hohe Genauigkeit erreichen, daß die Einsatzpunkte des Ventils (8) gegenüber den auftragmusterabhängigen Grundwerten um einen in Abhängigkeit von der Geschwindigkeit der Materialbahn (1) sowie zumindest dem Bahnabstand (a) der Düse (6) ermittelbaren Korrekturwert veränderbar sind. <IMAGE>
